as Vegas based artist Serena Renee has spent the last 10 years perfecting
her painting style and honing her photographic vision into something
unique.
Her love for the arts started at a young age, while growing up in Tulare, CA.
She would spend hours replicating various Disney characters, or coming up
with her own comic strips. As time passed she eventually took to the likings
of various artist and artistic styles.
Here is the artist in her own words:
"At present, I do a little bit of everything, because I believe life is a little bit
of everything. Some days I'm a painter; some days I'm a graphic designer, other
days I'm a photographer.
As a painter and graphic designer I have always been inspired by Andy Warhol
and his Pop Art style. I wanted to take what he had set the foundation for and
take it to the next level. My piece "Lighter Than The Brown Paper Bag" aka
"What If I'm Not The Same Color" is the piece that propelled my painting style
into what it is today.
As a photographer, my photographs are my perception of life’s random moments.
Everything I see, I’m constantly thinking, “Will his make a good photograph?”
And to that, I’ll snap several pictures to answer my question, to get an immediate
answer of yes, no, or a different angle might work better. My photographs
are my personification of life.
In the end, my mind is the means of it all. It is where all my artistic endeavors
begin and end. It is my vision; it is where I attempt to make the ordinary seem
extraordinary, intriguing, subtle, and bold all at the same time."
